The Miracle of Quadruplets: Natalie and Kahn’s Extraordinary Journey
After years of unsuccessful attempts to conceive, a couple was surprised to greet their miracle child, a daughter. Two years later, their desire to expand their family was granted in a manner they had never anticipated, leaving them speechless.
Natalie Maree and Kahn, residents of Roebourne, Western Australia, exchanged vows in 2013 and embarked on their journey to start a family. Their initial attempts to conceive were met with disappointment, leading them to seek medical assistance after two years of trying.
Their visit to the doctor brought forth unexpected news – Natalie had a ut, also known as an unexplained tt. Undeterred by this unforeseen diagnosis, the couple resolved to press on, determined not to let it dampen their spirits.
In May of 2018, their perseverance bore fruit, and they welcomed their first child, a precious baby girl named Kiana, affectionately known as “Kiki.” Natalie and Kahn were overjoyed to become parents, referring to their daughter as a “little miracle.”
However, their hearts yearned for a larger family. Soon after Kiki’s arrival, they embarked on the path to expand their family further.

The initial shock gave way to excitement as Natalie and Kahn eagerly anticipated the arrival of their bundles of joy. During Natalie’s 7th-week prenatal check-up, the doctor delivered astounding news – she had a good chance of carrying more than one baby in her belly this time.
Natalie exclaimed “twins” upon seeing two shadows on the ultrasound, only for the doctor to correct her, indicating “triplets.” Then, he shook his head and raised four fingers in silence to signify “quadruplets.”
On July 21, 2020, at 34 weeks expectant, Natalie gave birth via C-section, embracing motherhood with open arms. The Australian couple welcomed a boy and three girls into the world: Maioha Kahn, 2.3 kg, Frankee Gene, 1.92 kg, Marley Rose, 2.2 kg, and Maddison Grace, 2.1 kg.
Kiki was elated to have not just one but four siblings to care for and play with. Despite the infants requiring some assistance with breathing, they were healthy. It took four weeks of close observation before they could finally return home.
Natalie expressed gratitude for the addition of four more miracles to her life, even though she already had a full plate. She stated, “We are fatigued but blissfully content.”
As a mother of five, Natalie has been sharing her journey on her Instagram account, “Kiki and the Quads.” She candidly shares insights into her family’s daily routine and the physical and emotional changes she’s experienced.
In several blog posts, the Australian mother has opened up about the challenges of balancing the needs of five children, including caring for four newborns and a toddler. She described the daily hurdles of breastfeeding, which takes an average of one and a half hours, and the constant planning required with multiple feedings.
“Taking care of a 2-year-old daughter while living with four newborns is undeniably challenging, and the feeling of exhaustion is all too real,” she admitted.
Nevertheless, she remains grateful for the support of her family and friends. “Every day, a vast network of family and acquaintances assists us. Without them, we would be completely lost,” she continued.
