Rescued White-Faced Fawn Discovers Joy at Animal Sanctuary After Mother’s Rejection at Birth!

Just look at how adorable she is! An extremely cute fawn, abandoned shortly after birth, has finally found comfort at a local farm. The baby deer was rejected by her own mother because she was born with a very unusual feature on her face.

The one-and-a-half-week-old fawn was born with a very rare condition called piebald. Unlike albinism or melanism, piebald occurs when an animal has large patches on its body without pigmentation. The little one is named Dragon.

Absolutely stunning! Beautiful eyes looking back at you.

Dragon was born at Deer Tracks Junction, a farm in Cedar Springs, Michigan, and due to her condition, her mother abandoned her shortly after birth. Fortunately, she’s now thriving thanks to the kind people who care for her.

So pretty, absolutely gorgeous!

Animals that suffer from these rare conditions are often rejected by their groups and, even worse, they’re extremely vulnerable in front of predators due to their lack of camouflage.

The white color, on the other hand, makes her stand out, so she can’t hide from predators, and she can’t hear or see as well as a regular deer, making her more susceptible to potential threats.

It is beautiful, but it is also a birth defect that prevents the fawn from camouflaging and attracts predators.

Thankfully, at the farm where she lives, she has all the ingredients for a long and happy life!

We’re delighted that she has found a wonderful new home at the animal farm. It warms my heart to see animals happy again.
