Airbus H225M Transport Helicopter Equipped with Advanced H-Force Special Weapon System

Hungary’s Air Force’s Airbus H225M helicopters will arrive this summer, Defense Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky announced on his official media page after a test-flight on Thursday, April 6, at the National Flight Range.

The Hungarian Defense Forces will take delivery of the Airbus H225M helicopters this summer, and the aircraft will be fitted with a special warfare system called H-Force. H-Force is a unique, exhaustive, and flexible warfare system designed to meet the requirements of defense agencies seeking light attack capabilities or a complement to their existing fleet of specialized attack helicopters. The Hungarian Air Force will be the first in the world to introduce this combination with this warfare system.

“Today, here in Várpalota, you could see how this unprecedented missile was fired and hit its target precisely. This is a very modern 21st-century development, a major development in the capital force, which will soon be in operation in the Hungarian Air Force. Peace requires strength; we will continue to work,” said Defense Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.

The Hungarian Ministry of Defense has ordered 16 H225M multi-purpose helicopters equipped with the H-Force warfare management system. Airbus provided extensive training and support packages to ensure the highest level of operational availability. The H225Ms selected by Hungary will be equipped with state-of-the-art communication capabilities and will be used for transport, combat search and rescue, and special operations missions.

Its state-of-the-art avionics and four-axis autopilot, exceptional range and payload capabilities, combined with a large cabin that can carry up to 28 troops and perform various air-to-ground and air-to-surface armament and reconnaissance tasks, allow the H225M to carry out the most demanding missions.

The Airbus Hélicoptères H225 (formerly Eurocopter EC225 Super Puma) is a long-range passenger transport helicopter developed by Eurocopter. The EC225 is based on the earlier Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma, improving upon the design with a five-blade main rotor incorporating a new airfoil shape to reduce vibration and noise levels. It is a twin-engine aircraft and can carry up to 24 passengers along with two crew members, depending on customer configuration. Since then, the 11-tonne H225M has proven its reliability and durability in multi-role combat and disaster relief operations. A member of the Super Puma family of helicopters, this military variant is operational in France, Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand and has recently been ordered by Kuwait and Singapore.

The Hungarian Air Force will soon start operating the Airbus H225M Caracal helicopter.

In conclusion, Hungary is eagerly awaiting the arrival of its new Airbus H225M helicopters, which will be equipped with the advanced H-Force special warfare system. These helicopters will significantly enhance Hungary’s defense capabilities and contribute to the country’s military strength. The introduction of this cutting-edge technology represents a significant development in Hungary’s air force and a commitment to maintaining peace through strength.
