A wildlife photographer in a London Park had an astonishing encounter that left him completely surprised and unaware of the extraordinary scene unfolding behind him.

An amateur photographer set out to capture stunning wildlife photos in Bushy Park, London, but little did he know that he would unintentionally steal the show. The man was determined to capture the perfect shot of the park’s deer, but he had no idea that a stag was sneaking up on him.

Fortunately, another more experienced photographer managed to capture the remarkable moment on film, surprising the unsuspecting photographer while the wild animal snuck up behind him.

“We hadn’t covered the red deer breeding season this year, and with rutting still going on, we figured we’d give it a shot,” said Roger Clark, a 75-year-old observer who witnessed the incredible event for the Daily Mail. “We saw a man with a camera on a tripod, completely focused on some deer activity in the ferns in front of him, completely oblivious to the enormous beast lurking behind him.”

“From the angle, it looked like the stag was snuggled up to pick a pocket off his pants, so I took a photo since it looked amusing,” the senior photographer added. “But it was quite unusual for a wild animal to be so close without being noticed.”

“The deer backed off and seemed to gaze at the photographer with those enormous, beautiful, sparkling eyes, as if to say, ‘Your model is right behind you!'” Mr. Clark felt sorry for the unfortunate photographer. “He never realized the opportunity he had missed, and the red deer and I both gave up and went our separate ways.”
