In a heartwarming and endearing moment, a toddler embraces the joy of meeting her newborn cousin for the very first time, showering her with an endless cascade of affectionate kisses. Just hours after the birth of baby Remington, eight-month-old Olivia excitedly pays her cousin a visit. Initially hesitant, Olivia’s mother, Megan Kashner, encourages her, and without hesitation, Olivia moves in to plant a tender kiss on her beloved cousin.
Despite her initial wariness, she then continues to shower Remington with love, albeit a little clumsily.
Even when Remington is moved away so she can’t get hurt by her overexuberance, Olivia continues to move forward for a peck on the head.
Megan, who captured the adorable moment last Tuesday (June 21) at a hospital in the US, said: ‘It was so hilarious and cute.
‘I can’t watch the video without laughing or smiling.
‘At first, Olivia reacted somewhat shy to Remington. She just kind of stared at her, and looked back up at me.
Perhaps some of her kissing was clumsy, but the excitement and love were clear to see from Olivia.
‘Remington didn’t seem to mind being right next to her big cousin. Olivia then leaped in very hesitantly and kissed her on the cheek.
‘Then she sat back up super slow and looked at me for reassurance. ‘As soon as I gratified her giving love to her cousin, she then knew it was okay and was so excited to keep giving her cousin kisses.’
